My Super Awesome To The Xtreme Video Cover Letter!!1!

Mike Video Still

Back in December, I put together a little video cover letter in order to market myself. It took me a while to think of what I wanted the video to be like, but then it hit me. I realized that if I'm going to try to sell myself, why not go with a proven formula? Products are being sold all the time on TV via infomercials. I'm no different than a Ginsu Steak Knife or a Snuggie, except that I'm sharper yet softer than both of those things. I gathered together some friends and as many "As Seen On TV" cliches as I could, and shot and edited this video.

Wing Bowl 3 - The Main Event

Mike's 3rd place prize

The Wing Bowl Finals is divided into 3 rounds. The first round consists of all 42 finalists and is 10 minutes long. The top 25 finishers will go on to the second round which lasts another 5 minutes. The top 5 will advance to the final two minute round, and whoever eats the most wings after all three rounds will be crowned the winner and take home the $5,000 grand prize. New to this year's competition are a 2nd and 3rd place consolation prize. After a short introduction, Round 1 began. It was intense and very exciting.

Wing Bowl 3 - The Pre-Game Show

Wing Bowl 3 Finals - Round 1

The 3rd Annual Wing Bowl Las Vegas Finals was held on Friday. I had earned my spot in the Finals a couple of weeks ago by eating 23 wings in 5 minutes at one of the Wing-Off qualifier events. That's a decent amount, but I knew I would have to eat way faster if I were to have even the slightest chance at taking home the $5,000 grand prize at the Finals. Last year's champion Paul Trovato ate 116 wings in 17 minutes, and he was back this year to defend his title.
